Warhol Questions

1. The silkscreens used buy the Warhol, he either made photographs or had them made by his friends and assistants. Most of these pictures were taken with a specific model of Polaroid camera that was kept in production especially for Warhol. This photographic approach to painting and his snapshot method had a great effect on artistic photography. Warhol was an extraordinary photographer, and took pictures of many things, such as friends.

2. Troy Donahue, John Lennon, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Diana Ross, Mao Zedong, Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson.

Annie Leibovitz

1. As a young girl, Annie was already doing many artistic things like writing and playing music.  Her love for photography started after taking pictures of her surroundings on a trip to the Phillippines.  She attended the San Francisco Art Institute.  She took photographs for the magazines Rolling stones and Vanity Fair.

2.  Demi Moore, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and many more.

elements:color

I'm not entirely sure if this piece was actually made by Andy Warhol or just inspired by him, but it has a nice variation of color.  The thing that really makes the cassette tapes stand out is the contrast between the color of the background and the object itself.  :]

element:texture

This image was actually made by me in Graphics and Design with Photoshop.  The idea was to create a piece where we could form a modern object into a piece of art that had been made by a famous artist.  I took a pair of converse and texturized them to be able to fit into a piece painted by Emily Kame Kngwarreye.  The objective was that it would pop out, yet blend in, and seemed like if you were to touch it, it would have a smooth but uneven feeling.

elements:form

I believe that this is a good example of form.  It shows not only the depth of the hands and cube, but also has this unique movement to it.

elements:line

This is a great example of the element line.  The image is completely made up of lines, no matter if the connect or if they just exist as part of the design.  The outer area of this figure seems to have all of its lines connecting, while the lines in the middle are just a continuous placement of the same figure over and over again to create a different design.

elements:shape

Looking at this picture closely, it has a multitude of different shapes.  It has circles, ovals, flower-like forms, and many others.  By being put together, it creates another shape.  This piece has a sort of circular outer shape, but also has the collage of other shapes inside it as well.

elements:value

This picture shows value extremely well because it uses different accents of bright and dark to pinpoint a certain feeling of the photo.  Due to the fingers being much brighter than the surrounding area, they stand out much more.  The instrument, in this case being a viola, still has some accent attracting the eye to it, but not as much as the fingers.

elements:space

I thought this image showed space extremely well, because not only does it show that there is space between the balloons by making some smaller than others, but there is sky between them.
